When you think of electrolytes, you probably think of hydration and post-workout recovery. Or you may even think of the last time you had really bad diarrhea…^^

Why would you need more electrolytes? Electrolyte loss can be a result of stress, exercise, poor diet, pregnancy, illness or medications.

Magnesium supports the synthesis and activity of various hormones, including insulin, thyroid hormones, and your reproductive hormones like estrogen and progesterone. Some formulas may contain excessive amounts of certain electrolytes while neglecting others. Often they focus on Sodium and Potassium only, but you also need Magnesium, Calcium (and Chloride).

They may also lack the right form or quality of electrolytes, making it harder for your body to absorb and use them effectively.

Most of all though, stay away from products that are using cheap sweeteners for taste like maltodextrin.
