DIY Pesto

Updated: 7 days ago

This is a great pesto base that you can use to pimp up your veggies, salads, or as a side with eggs, fish or meat.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cup fresh basil leaves or other fresh herbs like cilantro, parsley, arugula or a mix of all (I mostly use frozen)

  • 1 garlic clove (raw or cooked) or just use chives instead)

  • 1/3 cup MCT oil or olive oil

  • 2 TBSP fresh lemon juice (or more depending on your taste)

  • Sea salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp almond flour

  • Optional: pimp up with 1tsp chlorella powder

Preparation:

  1. wash your herbs and take out the heart of your garlic cloves

  2. use a food processor or blender to blend all ingredients together until the pesto is mostly smooth.

  3. store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 7 days
